Satyr Films Responds to Barebacking Controversy
By admin on Sep 8, 2009 in Behind the Scenes
Jay, I want to apologize for the lateness of my response to your post on our blog. We DO NOT exclude HIV positive models from our film shoots. We match up HIV positive models with other HIV positive models. So far we have not had one HIV negative model convert over to HIV positive status. We test through AIM (Adult Industry Medical) with the PCR-DNA test which is 99.99% accurate to within the last 10 days. It tests for the virus not just the antibodies. This means that the test is looking for the virus not the body’s reaction to the virus. Sincerely,Chad Ryan
I want to commend you guys on being the leaders in this matter. Too many studios especially the gay ones are taking unnecessary risks by not
testing their models. Of course, there is a cost for that but they are already spending thousands on their budgets so a few hundred dollars more would not break them and would save lives. It gives me great comfort to know that when I am watching a Satyr Films movie that the models are not being infected before my very eyes. It is also great to know that you guys use HIV positive models who are paired up with other positive models. You guys are the top! Keep making your great films!
